Joseph Burke
Director
Having practised law in Perth for over 15 years, Joseph has developed a wealth of experience in a variety of practice areas.
Joseph’s focus is general litigation, dispute resolution and employment law. He has appeared as counsel for his clients in judicial forums ranging from the Magistrates Court to the Court of Appeal and Federal Court. Joseph employs a practical mindset in his approach to contentious matters, which invariably leads to timely and cost effective outcomes for his clients.
Joseph advises clients on a wide range of employment and workplace relations matters including disciplinary action, unfair dismissals, employment contracts and policies, enterprise agreements, discrimination issues and redundancies. Joseph also represents his clients in conferences and hearings in these matters before the State Industrial Relations Commission, the Fair Work Commission/Ombudsman and the Federal Courts.
Joseph also regularly assists our clients with their commercial and property law needs including transactional matters (business sales and acquisitions), leases and related security issues.
A keen follower of employment related matters, Joseph is a member of the WA Law Society and the Industrial Relations Society of WA and has previously sat on committees for both of those organisations.
